English Version

Concern Grows

Due to too many activities that we had to do during the week, we did not conclude, as expected, the beta software that will control the hardware. This is also why there was a delay in blog posts.

Because of this unexpected situation, we are not sure about being able to complete the work within the deadline. Nevertheless, we will continue searching for viable solutions to problems found during the alpha test.
We are now running after lost time.________________________________________________________________________________

Now... in English!

Recently we noticed that our blog see getting large numbers of visits outside Brazil. As a result we decided to launch the English version of our electronic logbook in order to democratize access our news.

From today all posts will be electronically translated into English. The choice of that language was for two reasons. First: English is a universal language. Furthermore, 10% of our total visits were made to North American territory, which accounts for almost 80% of access outside of Brazil.

It is worth remembering that as the translation will be done electronically (and not necessarily reviewed) we can not guarantee full consistency with the English language standards, but the translation will be quality enough to be easily understood by anyone who has mastered the language.

Continuing...

Unfortunately this week does not bring totally new in relation to our project (as I had predicted would happen when the software started to be developed), we have only two news: good and bad one.

Assuming you're an optimistic person and prefer the good news, we’ll start with than!

Last week we finished the alpha version of the program. For those less connected to the world of programming, we explain: The alpha version of software is one in which the product is still under construction and being testing, but only have access to the programmers involved, not the general public. However, this system can be tested in a controlled environment in the facilities of Developer, characterizing the process called alpha testing. This test has been accomplished and his "drift" the bad news. The program also presents critical errors that must necessarily be corrected so that the program becomes functional.

If everything goes as planned, until the 16th of this month, will be presented to the instructions of the beta program. In beta stage the developer himself admits that the program is not ready yet and may have problems, but is already a decent level to use, even without any warranty. We also plan to perform beta testing in the same week. If all goes well, soon after the 1.0 version of the program will launch and we still have one week to complete the final report.
